1. Introduction
These Seller Policy & Seller Terms govern the use of Listpal Classifieds by individuals, businesses, service providers, retailers, and other users who create or publish listings on the platform.
Listpal Classifieds is an online marketplace and classified listing platform that provides sellers with an opportunity to advertise and promote products and services and connect with potential buyers.
Listpal is a marketplace platform and does not generally own, manufacture, stock, sell, package, ship, or deliver the products or services advertised by independent sellers.
By creating or maintaining a seller account or publishing a listing on Listpal, you agree to comply with these Seller Policy & Seller Terms.
2. Seller Eligibility
To use Listpal as a seller, you must:
- Provide accurate and truthful information.
- Be legally permitted to offer the advertised product or service.
- Provide accurate contact information.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Have the authority to advertise the products or services you list.
- Comply with Listpal’s Terms & Conditions and other applicable policies.
Businesses should provide accurate business information where applicable, including their business name, contact information, location, website, and other relevant details.
3. Seller Responsibility for Listings
Sellers are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of their listings.
Every listing should accurately represent the product or service being offered.
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that listings contain accurate information regarding, where applicable:
- Product or service name
- Description
- Price
- Availability
- Condition
- Specifications
- Images
- Location
- Contact information
- Shipping and delivery arrangements
- Return and refund terms
- Warranty information
- Other material conditions of the offer
Sellers must not intentionally provide false, misleading, deceptive, or incomplete information.
4. Product and Service Legality
Sellers must only list products and services that they are legally permitted to advertise and sell.
Listings must comply with applicable Kenyan laws and regulations and any other laws applicable to the seller’s activities.
Listpal may prohibit or remove certain products, services, categories, or content at its discretion.
Sellers are responsible for determining whether their products or services require licences, permits, certifications, approvals, or other legal authorisation.
5. Prohibited Listings
Sellers must not use Listpal to advertise or promote products, services, or activities that are illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, harmful, or otherwise prohibited by our policies or applicable law.
Prohibited content may include, but is not limited to:
- Counterfeit or illegally reproduced goods
- Stolen property
- Fraudulent products or services
- Misleading advertisements
- Illegal goods or services
- Products or services prohibited by applicable law
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Listings intended to facilitate illegal activities
- Listings containing malicious software, scams, or phishing
- Content that is abusive, threatening, or discriminatory
- Other products or services that Listpal determines are inappropriate for the platform
Listpal reserves the right to remove or restrict any listing that violates these terms.
6. Pricing and Availability
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that the prices and availability displayed in their listings are accurate and current.
If the price or availability of a product changes, sellers should update the listing promptly.
Sellers should clearly disclose any additional mandatory charges that a buyer may need to pay, where applicable.
7. Images and Other Content
Sellers must only upload or use images, videos, logos, descriptions, trademarks, and other content that they have the legal right to use.
Sellers must not upload content that infringes another person’s or business’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
By submitting content to Listpal, the seller confirms that they have the necessary rights or permissions to use that content for the purpose of advertising the relevant product or service.
8. Seller Contact Information
Sellers should provide accurate contact information so that potential buyers can communicate with them.
Where applicable, sellers may provide:
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Business website
- Social media page
- Physical business location
- Other legitimate communication channels
Sellers should respond to genuine buyer enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
9. Shipping and Delivery
Sellers are responsible for determining whether they offer shipping, delivery, collection, or pickup.
Where delivery is offered, sellers should clearly communicate:
- Delivery locations
- Delivery charges
- Available delivery methods
- Estimated delivery times
- Courier or delivery provider arrangements
- Any delivery restrictions
- Pickup or collection options
Listpal does not generally provide shipping or delivery services for products listed by sellers.
Sellers must not represent Listpal as their shipping provider or delivery agent unless Listpal has expressly agreed to provide such a service.
10. Returns, Refunds and Warranties
Sellers are responsible for establishing and communicating their own applicable:
- Return policies
- Refund policies
- Exchange policies
- Cancellation policies
- Warranty terms
- After-sales support arrangements
Sellers should ensure that these policies comply with applicable laws and accurately reflect the terms offered to buyers.
Where a seller does not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges, this should be clearly communicated to potential buyers where applicable.
11. Transactions Between Buyers and Sellers
In most cases, transactions for products and services advertised on Listpal are conducted directly between the buyer and seller.
The seller is responsible for:
- Completing the transaction as agreed
- Providing the advertised product or service
- Providing accurate information
- Communicating applicable terms
- Arranging payment where applicable
- Arranging shipping or delivery where applicable
- Handling returns, refunds, and warranties where applicable
- Meeting applicable legal obligations
Listpal is not automatically a party to transactions between sellers and buyers.
12. Payments to Listpal
Listpal may charge sellers for certain platform services, including:
- Premium listings
- Featured listings
- Listing upgrades
- Advertising
- Promotional packages
- Business promotion
- Subscription services
- Other paid marketplace services
Payments made to Listpal for these services are separate from payments made between buyers and sellers for products or services.
A seller’s payment to Listpal for advertising or listing services does not constitute payment for the product being sold to a buyer.
13. Seller Conduct
Sellers must use Listpal honestly, professionally, and responsibly.
Sellers must not:
- Create misleading listings
- Manipulate prices or listing information
- Create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes
- Spam buyers or other users
- Harass or threaten users
- Attempt to circumvent Listpal’s policies
- Use Listpal to distribute malware or malicious links
- Attempt to defraud buyers
- Misrepresent their identity or business
- Use another person’s or business’s identity without authorisation
14. Seller Websites and External Links
Sellers may provide links to their official websites or other legitimate online channels where permitted.
External websites and services are operated independently from Listpal.
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that any website or external service they link to complies with applicable laws and does not contain misleading, fraudulent, harmful, or prohibited content.
Listpal may remove external links that create security, safety, compliance, or policy concerns.
15. Seller Account Security
Sellers are responsible for maintaining the security of their Listpal accounts.
Sellers should:
- Keep login credentials confidential
- Use a strong password
- Avoid sharing account access unnecessarily
- Notify Listpal if they suspect unauthorised access
Sellers are responsible for activity conducted through their accounts unless they have promptly reported unauthorised access to Listpal.
16. Listing Moderation
Listpal may review listings to maintain the quality, safety, and integrity of the marketplace.
We may:
- Approve or reject listings
- Request additional information
- Edit or correct certain listing information where appropriate
- Remove listings
- Temporarily suspend listings
- Restrict accounts
- Suspend or terminate seller accounts
Listpal may take action where a listing or account violates these Seller Terms, our other policies, applicable laws, or creates a risk to users or the platform.
17. Seller Verification
Listpal may request additional information or documentation from sellers where reasonably necessary.
This may include information relating to:
- Seller identity
- Business identity
- Product authenticity
- Licences or permits
- Ownership or authorisation
- Contact information
- Other information necessary to verify a listing or seller
Verification, where performed, does not necessarily constitute an endorsement or guarantee of the seller, product, or service by Listpal.
18. Seller Reviews and Complaints
Buyers may report concerns about sellers or listings through available Listpal reporting or contact channels.
Listpal may investigate complaints and take appropriate action where necessary.
Repeated complaints, fraudulent activity, misleading listings, or serious policy violations may result in listing removal, account suspension, or termination.
19. Seller Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, sellers are responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from:
- Their products or services
- Their listings
- Their conduct
- Their transactions with buyers
- Their violation of these Seller Terms
- Their violation of applicable laws
- Their infringement of another person’s rights
Sellers should seek appropriate professional or legal advice regarding their own business obligations.
20. No Guarantee of Sales
Listing a product or service on Listpal does not guarantee that the seller will receive enquiries, leads, sales, or revenue.
Listpal provides a platform and promotional opportunities but does not guarantee a particular level of visibility, traffic, enquiries, or sales.
21. Suspension or Termination
Listpal may suspend or terminate a seller account or remove listings where we reasonably believe that the seller:
- Violated these Seller Terms
- Violated another Listpal policy
- Provided false or misleading information
- Advertised prohibited products or services
- Engaged in fraudulent or suspicious activity
- Created a safety or security risk
- Violated applicable law
- Otherwise misused the platform
Where appropriate, Listpal may provide the seller with an opportunity to address the issue.
22. Changes to These Seller Terms
Listpal may update these Seller Policy & Seller Terms from time to time.
Updates may be made to reflect changes in our services, business practices, marketplace requirements, applicable laws, or platform policies.
The latest version will be published on this page with the applicable effective and updated dates.
23. Acceptance of These Terms
By creating a seller account, submitting a listing, or continuing to use Listpal as a seller, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Seller Policy & Seller Terms.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should not create or maintain listings on Listpal.

Important Notice to Sellers
Listpal Classifieds provides an online platform for advertising and connecting with potential buyers. You, as the seller, remain responsible for the products and services you advertise, the accuracy of your listings, your transactions with buyers, payment arrangements, shipping and delivery, returns, refunds, warranties, and compliance with applicable laws. Listing a product or service on Listpal does not make Listpal the seller, supplier, owner, shipper, or guarantor of that product or service.
